The app does not collect or store data remotely
Effective 25 August 2026
This policy covers the Haptic Pulse app for Garmin watches and the haptic-pulse.com website.
What the app uses
Live heart rate is used for Adaptive mode (and can optionally be displayed during sessions). The app may also show Garmin’s stress scores and stores your settings on the watch.
App data collection
The app has no account, advertising, analytics, tracking or network access. No personal, health or usage data is sent to the developer.
Storage and control
Heart-rate and stress information is processed on the watch during use. Settings remain on your watch until you reset them or uninstall the app. No remote app-user record is created.
Website analytics
This website uses Independent Analytics, a cookieless analytics tool hosted within WordPress. It records page views, visitor and session counts, referrers, approximate location, and general browser and device information. The visitor’s IP address is processed to derive approximate location and a one-way hashed visitor identifier, but the IP address itself is not stored. The identifier’s salt is rotated daily, limiting repeat recognition to no more than 24 hours.
Analytics data is created and stored only in this website’s WordPress database and is not sent to an external analytics provider. The optional vendor data-sharing programme is not enabled, and no analytics cookies are used. Website analytics is separate from the Garmin app.
Garmin and policy updates
Your watch and Connect IQ are covered by Garmin’s terms and privacy practices. Material changes to this policy will be posted here with a new effective date.
